Kid Rock Billboard single reviews "Born Free"

Next Kid Rock, "Born Free," album features appearances by Sheryl Crow, it, and Bob Seger track but the title is the singer return to its roots of southern rock without relying on an artist. With producer Rick Rubin, contributing to sand ready for the sound of the first single, rock reminiscent of Bruce Springsteen by matching "born in the United States" loaded with letters guitar riffs on abound American ideals. "Deep as the most grandiose gun, wild as a Stallion indomitable / if you don't see my heart must be blind", sings. The song slows down during the interim, as a piano takes the place of the guitar, but soon collected with a drum roll and an epic final chorus. As a logical continuation to its successful single "All Summer Long", "Born Free" lets rock back to what he knows better: the music of classic rock with a modern touch.
